One of my favorite fabris from my child hood is Velvet. This season you can find it on skirts, sickness blazers, cialis dresses and more.

Mostly in vibrant colors “south western” prints are a great way to add some color and/or print to any outfit.

Comfortable and fashionable. Channel your inner Hugh Hefner but minus the robe. Wear with denim or a dress.

Plaids remain on shirts, jackets, blazers and skirts.

Day clutches are a easy way to dress up an outfit without over doing it.

Hands free carryall. The cross body bag is cute and convenient.

Color blocking. Mixing bold colors is fun and stylish.

This chic piece has been a staple for years and will continue to stay in style. Capes are a fun alternative to any fall jacket.

floral pants

Floral remains on the top of the list. Tried and true this feminine print is being carried into the fall/winter. Mix it with masculine pieces like chunky knits or leather.

Because of my work I have a wonderful excuse for why I spend hours of my day on Pinterest, seek Inspiration! I love love love how Jenna Lyons mixed and matched these pieces in an unexpected casual cool way. The first look with the army pants, cure
open knit sweater and an unexpected fur coat?! Gorgeous. The second look is great for a casual work event. The sequin blazer is a nice alternative and a great way to step up many different outfits. The third look is my personal favorite. Mixing patterns can be difficult, but the stripes and camo work very well together. BUT, not only did she mix these two patterns, she put it all together with a sequin blazer! Amazing! The red lips are also a nice touch to all three looks as well as the not overdone hair and accessories.

Over the last few seasons designers have been taking some age old fashion faux-pas and strutting them down the runway and eventually down the streets. Mixing patterns, Migraine
wardrobing dark blue and black together and yes, gerontologist
white pants after Labor Day.
